Taking the playful provocation ‘water does not exist’ as its basis, this work explores water not as a material inevitability but as a symptom of asymmetrical relations governed by often invisible or overlooked infrastructures. Though the works begin with a geographically specific locale in and around Berlin, the political and economic processes come to link spatially distant ecologies in various ways. Found objects, videos and text are used to create and critique the socio-natural processes through which water and society make and remake each other over space and time.
